As many of you know, we’ve been major eBay sellers for almost two decades. A year or so ago, we began to dabble on Amazon and realized, especially thanks to Jim Cockrum and his Proven Amazon Course, that Amazon is the place where we skyrocket our income. (And… so is eBay!)
2017 is going to be an Amazon bonanza for Jayne and Greg if we work it right.
But… Which is better, eBay or Amazon?
Nope. That’s a bad question. Never ask that.
The only question should only be, “eBay or Amazon“?
The only answer should be, “Yes!”
Both, But Not Only Both
Both eBay and Amazon provide tremendous opportunities. If you have what I call “one offs” to sell, such as something in your home that still has some value but you no longer want, eBay‘s the place to go. If you wholesale en entire product line (about as easy as can be if you’re wise and listen to Jim’s free podcasts here), Amazon‘s the place to go.
But guess what? As you’ll hear in his podcasts, Amazon works fine for one-offs too (oh man, oh man, oh man, especially for books!). And eBay often works well for wholesalers too!
Note: Amazon has more restrictions than does eBay, but offers more opportunity. eBay often lets you sell items that Amazon has restricted from certain sellers.
If you’d sort of like to skyrocket your family’s income, you need selling accounts at both eBay and Amazon and you need to be working both. And guess what? You also need to be working Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sears, Shopify, and the Facebook Marketplace! (I’ll have a little more to say about these places below.)
Where on Earth am I Supposed to Find Something to Sell???
Well, therein lies the rub. That’s the hard part, right?
W-R-O-N-G.
The vast majority of the largest, and perhaps the cheapest how-to-sell-on-Amazon training on earth answers “Where on Earth am I Supposed to Find Something to Sell???”
Note: Seriously, I have no idea why they keep the price so low.
Note: Yes I do. Jim Cockrum and his entire team have a servant’s heart. They only want to succeed if the things they do, test, and then teach to us succeed.
Note: Jim is a believer and home-educates his five children, two of which are adopted, and two of which have special needs (and therefore, special abilities).
Here’s a tiny sample of the where-do-I-buy? answers offered over and over in the Proven Amazon Course:
- In your home and garage (again, not just for eBay!)
- At the closest retail store to your home (yep… retail store)
- At the closest wholesale store to your home (which the Left likes to denigrate as “big box stores,” but you and I know the reality is that these are “places where people of all incomes can afford what only the wealthier folk used to be able to buy.”)
- Mail order
- eBay! (Yep, buy on eBay and sell on Amazon. If you think that’s impossible, you’re going to leave lots of money on the table as immediately shown here.)
Note: Wow, just… wow… Jayne: If only we knew about these tactics years ago!
- Amazon! Yes, arbitrage opportunities exist on Amazon to buy from one seller (especially “Merchant Fulfilled” sellers who don’t understand the importance of sending their items to Amazon to sell but insist on shipping sold items themselves) then sell to Amazon buyers.
- From wholesalers
Note: “From wholesalers”??? I know what you’re thinking. You’re not a business (yet), you don’t know how to buy anything wholesale, you wouldn’t know what to do first! The answer is this: buying wholesaler can be extremely complex, complicated, and confusing. Everybody knows how hard it is to become a wholesaler!
Note: Except Jim Cockrum. And now me. One of Jim’s latest free podcasts told how to go from scratch to wholesaling products in, oh, 3 tiny steps, which take, oh, maybe an hour to do, often less, and a lot of times takes only seconds.
Even better, not only is “Yes!” the answer to eBay or Amazon? but “Yes!” is also the answer to Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sears (Sears may be on the cusp of going out of business; why don’t you help them by letting them sell your things for you?), Shopify, and now an amazing place to sell fast and local, the Facebook Marketplace!
A Massive Course with Entry for You and Everybody Else!
If you ever get one of Jim’s products that show you how to make extra money immediately, I will stand behind my recommendation 100%.
If you ever get one of Jim’s products that show you how to make extra money immediately, I will help you get started.
I’ve been in the trenches selling online for almost two decades and I’m also in your shoes, still a newbie on Amazon seeing the amazing potential Amazon gives little ol’ folk like you and me.
You can start big or tiny. I suggest tiny! So does the Proven Amazon Course.
Note: Almost every course offered by Jim’s team has “proven” in the name because they never teach us anything they themselves haven’t tried, honed, and tested. These guys do what they say. They are their own clients, they practice what they preach, they are selling in the $8-figures annually using only what they teach us. They have no desire to hide their strategies; quite the opposite. In their business’s very slogan, CES, the letter E stands for Educate. One-third of their entire business strategy is to teach, to educate others, in the exact methods they follow themselves.
Jim’s philosophy always seems to be this: It’s better to get a return of your money than to get a return on your money.
Jim’s never used that saying, but it permeates everything they do and train you to do. The phrase comes from a stock broker friend of mine in Scottsdale, Arizona who says, “It’s better to get a return of your money than to get a return on your money!” meaning: If anything you do risks losing your capital, don’t do it! Always start small, risk virtually nothing, then go with the winners and run from the losers.
You will never hear one of Jim’s team tell you to risk more than a few dollars to try anything they teach. Never.
And what if you’re just a teenager looking for a part-time business, or a home-educating Mom who wants to teach her family about business a little (even if she herself doesn’t know much about it) while making extra (which I suggest will be a lot extra) money along the way and hiring the kids to help while they learn, The Proven Amazon Course lets you start with nothing except maybe a few things around your home. Then build. Then build. Then build.
Or… not. It’s fine to keep it all a hobby and just use these money-generators called Amazon and eBay each month covering your utility bills, gasoline, and mortgage payments. If that’s all you work it, there’s an entry place for you that is basically free, you and your kids can work it immediately, and you can limit your work to “hobby hours” of only a couple of hours each week. Fine. What a way to do it!
Let me stress once more: If selling on Amazon still frightens you, then just sell some used books there. Nothing tells you how better than the Proven Book Sourcing Course and I know of nothing less costly than that, easier than that, or has more money potential with such little action required than that. The Proven Book Sourcing Course is what Jim’s team calls the “low-hanging fruit” for new Amazon sellers who are a little afraid to begin and/or have no idea how.
Me and My Friends
So far, I’ve encouraged three or four of my friends to go from being only buyers on Amazon to being richer Amazon sellers.
They each now know I’m speaking 100% truth when I say, it’s exactly what I say it all is.
Note: I also practice what I preach. I bought the amazing don’t-risk-anything “PPI” course, which is now part of The Proven Amazon Course (I paid far more when PPI wasn’t a part of the PAC!) (worth every penny!) along with several other money-making education products from Jim’s team. I’ve been a customer of Jim’s ever since about 2002 when he published his very first eBay course in eBook format called, The Silent Sales Machine which is about to enter its tenth edition. I now have a small association with his book publishing division, but otherwise, I’m in your shoes when it comes to everything I’ve said here.
Note: Jim just gives away two chapters from this cornerstone book. Grab those free here: The Silent Sales Machine 2 Free Chaps.
Don’t listen to me any longer when it comes to selling. Listen to Jim Cockrum. I’ll be in the wings to help get you started and answer some preliminary questions.
Now go and make a fortune.
