The reaction of many so-called “conservatives” to any major news story such as Baltimore’s criminal murder, maiming, and looting, is always hesitant. Once a few brave souls appear on the news or in social media saying something like, “These are criminals and they must be stopped!” – only then do the weak, “conservative” masses join in.
That’s a shame. Conservatives are reactionary. Liberals are active. It’s no mystery why the Left has been steam-rolling its weaker opponents for decades.
When Crime Appears In the News
At RightNerve.com, we call for immediate and public reaction to any major news story that involves crime. For example, when a shooting incident takes place we demand that the nation’s gun-control laws be immediately rescinded and all restrictions on firearms be lifted by midnight so that citizens can protect themselves.
Maryland’s Gun Control
Maryland has some of the strictest gun-control laws in the nation. But you knew that, right? Where there is violent crime, there is almost always major gun control.
Guns sold to Maryland residents are strictly regulated, magazines of more than ten rounds are illegal. For taxpaying, working, productive citizens, concealed permits are legal but rarely granted. Here is one description of the policy:
In practice, very few applicants are granted carry permits, and approval typically requires the applicant to provide proof of a clear and imminent threat on his or her life.
(We’ll return to that boldfaced phrase in a moment.)
That will surprise nobody with a brain cell. Only the Intelligentsia – the left-wing power-hungry controllers of Maryland’s tax-paying, working, productive citizens – can grant citizens the right to protect themselves. So they rarely grant it.
It is not in the best interest of a government to let citizens protect themselves.

For the past 24 hours, the criminals in Baltimore handed you a gift. Are you going to accept it?
The criminals just placed in your laps “proof of a clear and imminent threat” on your life. If you have one shred of decency and want to protect yourself and your family, you will flood the government offices in your districts and demand that your right to carry a gun be granted immediately, today.
If you do not, you are a coward who deserves the state you’ve allowed. You also are an accomplice to the murder of your children and wife if you’re a man and do not demand the inalienable right to carry a firearm today and later something happens to them.
Note: If, instead of doing the right thing and demanding a permit before noon today (it’s 11:29 am Maryland time now), you decide to leave Maryland for a free state, that is not a bad decision either.
