How do you react when you board an airplane and walk past the big seats in First Class to get to your squeezed, tiny, messy Coach cabin?
It’s probably one of two reactions:
I’d suspect that until about 1978, the second reaction was the norm. I suspect for the vast majority of Coach passengers today – narcissistic whining babies who want everything given to them without cause – I suggest they walk past First Class with disdain and hatred.
A good father would tell his young son, “Someday son, you can be a success like these nice people.”
If you fly, get one of these to stick in your carry-on bag.
We never fly without them and we keep them handy in our home.
The majority of people who die in an airplane disaster, where the plane actually lands, die from the smoke and not the bad landing or fire. Smoke also kills people in home and office fire situations as much or more than the fire does.
When you are encased in smoke, there’s not much you can do if the smoke gets you first.
Again, ever since we began flying so much in the early 1990s, we’ve not one time boarded a plane without one of these. Why would you risk your life when something’s so cheap and easy?
We watched a show recently where a judge found a first-time offender guilty of a crime. The punishment was almost surely going to be a light slap, such as community service.
Note: It’s a horrid justice system that uses “service” as a punishment. Service should be an honor. Service should never be a punishment for any crime.
The judge thought the guilty girl was wealthy. She was not, but her grandfather who hired the attorney was. The judge said that the ten hours of community “service” that the prosecution recommended was not enough “for spoiled, rich teenagers.” The judge said that rich people shouldn’t be let off easier than poor people. So the judge sentenced the girl to 300 hours of community “service.”
It’s almost for certain that had the girl’s wealthy grandfather not been there, the judge would have given her the suggested 10 hours of work. The judge, like so many today, wanted to punish her for being wealthy. Again, the girl wasn’t wealthy, but the point is this: the judge was actually punishing the girl far more harshly because she was perceived as being rich.
I suggest this probably happens more and more often. People are punished more, not just from the weak, gimme, freeloading moochers throughout our society, but by those in power who also are envious of those who work hard to get ahead.
I’m not saying the rich should get away with crime easier than those without money. The wealthy should get no special treatment under the law. (They should get no harsher treatment either.)
If rich people aren’t to get special treatment under the law – and they shouldn’t – then they shouldn’t be forced to pay more in taxes either. Equality is equal or it’s not.
As a non-wealthy man, I’m correct in saying that the wealthy often deserve more respect than the poor because, in many cases, they worked hard to become wealthy. Instead, they get only the opposite in our loser-worshipping society.
